Mint Julep Soda

mint julep soda

One sleepy working day, I went to the office kombini (convenience store) to get a caffeine fix and sugar boost. I previously decided on getting a bottle of Coke when I saw this unfamiliar drink right beside it.

Mint Julep Soda is Kirin’s summer creation out of their World’s Kitchen series to supposedly beat the heat. It is based on an alcoholic drink from Southern USA called Mint Julep which consists of bourbon, mint, sugar and water. It is served with lots of ice. Think plantation style.

Kirin’s version somewhat tastes like sprite, pomelo and mint.

Namit! I bought another bottle on my way home.
